MONTBLANC GREAT CHARACTERS LIMITED EDITION 2018 JAMES DEAN
\nJames Byron Dean (1931 \u2013 1955) was an American actor and a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement, exemplified by the title of his films, “Rebel Without a Cause” (1955), in which he starred
\nas troubled teenager Jim Stark. The overall shape of this writing instrument is inspired by the switchblade James Dean uses in the film “Rebel Without a Cause”. The cap in precious wood is also inspired by this same
\nscene. The pattern on the Ag 925 sterling silver barrel takes its inspiration from the engine engraving on his favourite sports car, while his famous quote “Dream as if you’ll live forever.<\/p>\n

Live as if you’ll die today” is also engraved onto the barrel. This edition is limited to 1931 pieces in reference to the year of his birth. James Dean was notorious for living life on The edge, and his love of speed was part of that. He was an enthusiastic meter racer, and he drove a Porsche 550 Spyder nicknamed \u2018Little Bastard\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Montblanc Great Characters James Dean Limited Edition 1931 celebrates James Dean\u2019s passion for fast cars in design details such as the Ag 925 sterling silver barrel engraved in a pattern reminiscent of the oil-cooler grille on the 550 Spyder. This is combined with a precious granadilla wood cap and the shape of the clip is an homage to the gun carried by Dean\u2019s character in Giant, Jett Rink.<\/p>\n
