The Patron of Art Edition Marquise de Pompadour honours a captivating personality and an outstanding historical figure. The cap, made of fine Meissen porcelain and decorated with a hand-painted, sepia-coloured rose finished in gold, recalls the Marquise\u2019s love of porcelain. As a tribute to the age in which she lived, the Au 750 solid gold nib is decorated by a delicate engraving typical of the rococo style. Edition 888 pays a special tribute to the Marquise de Pompadour: both the cap of this fine pen, which is lovingly decorated with a hand-painted motif of the Marquise, and the barrel, which is also hand-painted with a delicate pattern of flowers, are made of Meissen porcelain.
