The Patron of Art Edition 888 “Peter I the Great” celebrates the great era of the Russian Empire.
The fine goldwork of the edition reflects the magnificent court of the Russian tsar again: laurel wreaths and artistic, white gold ornaments surround the dark green corpus of the edition 888. The cap head is made with noble emeralds decorated in the same green as the corpuscle shimmer. The fountain pen has an 18-carat gold nib, in which the Symbol of the Russian Monarchy – the double-headed eagle – is engraved.
PETER I. THE GREAT
Inspired by the spirit of enlightenment Czar Peter the Great led the Russian Empire from its cultural isolation and moved it to the center the great nations of Europe. He gave the first Russian newspaper and founded the first Russian state museum with a public library, as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences.The latter was built in the city, the the name of this important Tsar – Saint Petersburg.
