Mahatma Gandhi Limited Edition Rollerball Pen In honor of the great advocate of Indian independence, teacher of non-violence and exemplar of humanity, Montblanc created this exceptional pen. The white lacquered barrel stands for truth and peace. The sterling silver mountings on cap and cone are shaped to resemble a spindle, Gandhi’s favored symbol of common cause with the people. The clip is set with a bright mandarin garnet, whose cut is reminiscent of a spinning wheel, an object of great symbolic value to Gandhi Mahatma Gandhi was an important political and spiritual leader in India and the Indian independence movement.
Therefore, the design of the limited Great Characters Edition pays tribute to his life and achievements. The cap tip and cone are inspired by the spindle with which Gandhi spun cotton and which is one of the symbols of Indian independence. The white represents truth and peace, while the mandarin garnet represents the orange of the Indian flag. The pen shows a picture of Mahatma Gandhi with a stick. From the limited edition 3000 Mahatma Gandhi, 3,000 fountain pens and 3,000 rollerballs each were made – a number that symbolizes the large crowd that followed him during his struggle for independence.
