Alfred Hitchcock Great Characters Edition is a tribute to one of the greatest directors of the last century. The engravings on the cap and barrel refer to the original Psycho film reel. The spiral black surface effect is a reference to the staircase in Vertigo and the revolutionary special effects that Hitchcock used. The 53 fine line markings on the cone symbolize 53 films that Hitchcock directed during his career. The fittings are made of 925 sterling silver. The clip is designed in the shape of a knife. Alfred Hitchcock – Master of HorrorHitchcock, the inventor of the thriller genre, knew that his audience loved a rollercoaster of emotions and fears. The famous shower scene from the film “Psycho” (1960) is the most memorable example of his masterful cinematic technique. In 45 seconds that made film history, a woman is murdered in cold blood with a knife, the shadowy outline of which remains in the audience’s mind long after the screen has gone dark. This murder weapon also plays a key role in the design of the limited edition Alfred Hitchcock and its outline inspired the distinctive shape of the clip.
